Think safety - LIMBAS Version 3.2
Latest press release about our new LIMBAS version 3.2:
New LIMBAS version with improved features for even more security
The new version of Open-Source-Solution LIMBAS, now with increased quality and security provides even more flexibility for presentation of business processes..
Oberhaching, May 2017 – The market requirements today are changing constantly and rapidly. To enable companies to keep up with the rapid changes, LIMBAS offers not only an adaptable open-source solution, but also continual development of offered software. The highlight of the new LIMBAS version is that documents from the integrated document management system can instantly be stored outside of LIMBAS. In addition, many technical innovations have been added which make it easier for administrators and programmers to work with LIMBAS.
"New storage options are available to companies that want a very slim system without storing anything in LIMBAS, or to companies that have very sensitive data and want to increase their security," explained Martina Hatzinger, marketing and sales specialist at LIMBAS GmbH. Usually all processed files are stored within LIMBAS. The new version can also be used to select any external location for the document management system for which LIMBAS has been granted access.
Quality improvement through technical innovations
Technical enhancements include extended UTF8 support, which can be used to handle European character sets as well as Cyrillic or Asian character sets.
The automatic text recognition with SQL programming (source code highlighting) supports developers in the programming of company-specific program components and extensions. Since correctness of the entered program code is automatically controlled, system quality and stability can be assured. Import and export functions have been extended for the migration.
In the new LIMBAS version, graphics and diagrams can easily be integrated into reports and forms.
In addition to various other improvements and additions, a visual workflow history has been added. In the graphical presentation, users can now follow everything that is happening.
"Flexible options for every application and maximum transparency are the LIMBAS criteria, and that is exactly what companies want today."
